Terry Daktyl, who hails from the Gold Coast/Yugambeh region of Australia, is a renowned Drag Artist who challenges traditional gender norms. Before stepping into the world of drag, Terry trained at the Australian Dance Performance Institute providing a rooted background in professional dance and musical theatre.

Their passion for the art form began before the age of TikTok tutorials and viral reels — back when drag was learned on the club floor, they studied the reigning queens on the scene as their backup dancer. It wasn’t long before Terry took centre stage, entering a local drag competition and kickstarting a decade-long (and counting) career in the spotlight.

Terry’s journey has since evolved to include both Drag Queen and Drag King personas, offering audiences a gender-bending experience. With a natural command of the stage and magnetic presence, Terry went on to secure a resident show contract at the iconic Pink Flamingo on the Gold Coast, and has spent the past two years touring the East Coast of Australia with high-energy events, workshops, and stage shows.

Their talents have lit up stages, film sets, TV screens, and podcast mics across the country — and in 2025, Terry proudly claimed the title of QLD’s Drag Performer of the Year.
